SC-WA (Wide Angle) Stereo Video Camera

The SC-WA is designed with tele-presence in mind. Its focal distance and convergence points are set at the factory at about 3 feet (one meter). Its field of view at that distance is about 18 inches (450 mm). It is capable of imaging in focus as close as 18 inches (0.5 m) and as far as 30 feet (10 m). Of course the apparent stereo effect is reduced as the object distance increases.

For close up work, we have three snap-on close up lenses available for the unit. These provide you with the ability to increase the magnification by factors of 2X, 3X or up to 4X. The snap-on lens alters the focal and convergence point by an inverse factor.  Hence a 2X snap-on lens brings the point to half of the original (18 in. or 0.5 m), the 3X to a third (12 in. or 333 mm), and the 4X to a fourth (9 in. or 250 mm).

As you can see in the image, the SC-WA provides you with stereo video in a compact package. The front optical piece holds both optical trains (for the left and right image). Just provide power, select the image output desired (Field Sequential Stereo or Separate Channels), and view real time stereo video.
